digitec for business customers: With us you get more than just products

digitec is not just a shop for private customers. We advise and support over 83,000 business customers. Our services range from simple delivery orders to complete office furnishings and hardware installations.
We not only welcome private customers. We also fulfil the wishes of companies. The B2B area of Digitec Galaxus AG is constantly growing. We already count over 83,000 companies among our customers. We serve everyone from one-man businesses to SMEs and large companies. Our range of services is as diverse as our customers' wishes, explains Matthias Bertschi, Key Account Manager. "We handle projects from A to Z. From the initial enquiry to consultation, delivery and installation."
There are enquiries that simply involve the delivery of a few new office monitors. Here, the B2B department's role is limited to providing advice and delivery - so-called boxmoving. However, there are also complex orders where companies need the complete infrastructure for new employees. Here, our department advises the customer either over the phone or in person on the best solution for them. Does the employee need to be mobile? Do they need a docking station? Which software? Graphics programmes? Workstation or PC?

From media company to bowling centre
Thomson Reuters, for example, needed a series of notebooks. We supplied the media company with special Lenovo notebooks, even though the company has direct contacts with the manufacturer: "Initially, we tried it directly via Lenovo, but that took too long. We waited two weeks just for a response to an offer". It quickly took a month for the whole thing to get rolling, says Sandro Kathriner, Manager Special Technology Services. "We needed keyboards with a US layout, but then Swiss versions arrived again and then the whole process started all over again." So they contacted digitec. "Within three days, I had an offer with the same conditions as Lenovo. The whole process took maybe two and a half weeks," says Kathriner. They would definitely work with digitec again and have already ordered new devices through us since then.

But there are also more complex projects. "We've even had complete office installations with all the furniture from the coffee machine to the table football table to the washing machine," says Bertschi. The collaboration with various service partners enables the company to offer a wide range of products. "We can unpack the products on request, take the packaging back with us and dispose of old appliances," says Bertschi.
We supplied 20 monitors for the scoreboards at the Rubigen bowling centre in Bern. We also installed them if required. "digitec's quote was very clear and they responded to our needs. If we had any questions, we received an answer within a very short time. In addition, digitec stood out with the best price-performance ratio," says Franziska Beutler, Managing Director of the Rubigen Centre. The collaboration was very straightforward and delivery was quick and problem-free. "We would work with digitec again at any time."

Such consultations are part of day-to-day business. Each industry has different needs, for which there is usually a specialist in the B2B department. If the problem cannot be solved in-house, we benefit from close networking with suppliers and manufacturers. "When we reach our limits, we have strong partners behind us," says Bertschi. Our involvement in the B2B sector will be further strengthened in the coming years and we are already looking forward to many new customers and exciting tasks.

Being the game and gadget geek that I am, working at digitec and Galaxus makes me feel like a kid in a candy shop – but it does take its toll on my wallet. I enjoy tinkering with my PC in Tim Taylor fashion and talking about games on my podcast http://www.onemorelevel.ch. To satisfy my need for speed, I get on my full suspension mountain bike and set out to find some nice trails. My thirst for culture is quenched by deep conversations over a couple of cold ones at the mostly frustrating games of FC Winterthur.
