Choose the game for the first «digitec playground» cup

digitec is organising its first own e-sports tournament. You can’t only take part, you can also choose which game will be played.

Are you the headshot champion in «Counter-Strike GO»? The top scorer in «Rocket League»? A pro at kiting in «League of Legends»? Then participate in «digitec playground», our first in-house e-sports cup. This is a pilot project and we’re interested in your opinion.

There will be a digitec team, too. These matches will be played live in the eStudios at Hardbrücke in Zurich. Who these gamers will be hasn’t been decided yet and depends – among other things – on which game gets the most votes.

Now let’s get to the voting: we’ve made a preselection, as not all games are suitable for our e-sports cup. The vote is open until 22 July.

In a nutshell

Who can participate?
Theoretically, anyone. However, we will respect the age restrictions of the respective games.

When will the cup take place?
The final is played on 19 October online. This means you can play from home. There will be a qualifying round before the final – no date has been decided on for the qualifying yet.

How can I sign up?
As soon as the voting is over, we’ll publish an article with all further details.

What's there to win?
We’re working with various sponsors to offer you the most attractive prices possible. More details will follow.

Any comments, feedback or ideas on the tournament? Is your favourite game missing in our list? Let us know in the comment section.

As a child, I wasn't allowed to have any consoles. It was only with the arrival of the family's 486 PC that the magical world of gaming opened up to me. Today, I'm overcompensating accordingly. Only a lack of time and money prevents me from trying out every game there is and decorating my shelf with rare retro consoles.
