Caps Lock: Digitec Galaxus sends out 18 tweets in one hour

Obviously inspired by the US President being discharged from hospital, the Digitec Galaxus social media department has set off a veritable Twitter firework display.
More or less helpful tweets with links to graphics cards and hoovers - this is familiar from Digitec and Galaxus. However, the fact that the online shop posted 18 tweets in just 39 minutes on Tuesday is unusual, even for the award-winning yet self-absorbed marketing people from Zurich. And the fact that they have even adopted Trump's bad habit of writing everything in capital letters is certainly not to everyone's liking. So "pretty much everything for pretty much everyone" ...

Digitec Galaxus is obviously using the tweets to encourage its customers to spend even more. After all, Black Friday, Cyber Monday and, of course, Christmas are almost upon us. In addition to product advertising, Digitec Galaxus also provides recommendations for editorial articles in its fireworks of tweets.

In terms of responses and likes, however, Digitec Galaxus lags far behind the US president. The tweets received a measly single-digit number of likes and virtually no response. However, it is highly doubtful whether online retailers will be impressed by this and tweet less in future.
