Behind the scenes

After Sales goes Dintikon

Digitec Galaxus continues to grow. This also means the number of returns and warranty cases grows and, as a result, the After Sales department needs more space than our logistics centre in Wohlen has to offer. Therefore, the team has now found a new home in neighbouring Dintikon.

Nobody likes defective products. If a product doesn't work anymore, efficient processes and transparent communication are key. Our After Sales team works closely with our logistics, retail and customer service teams to ensure that warranty claims and returns are handled smoothly and customers enjoy the best possible service.

Acute lack of space

It all started in tiny provisional offices, surrounded by cardboard boxes and with no heating. Over the years, the small group has grown into a department of 50 employees while the number of orders has increased even more. The coming years are expected to bring even more growth.

Until now, the After Sales team was still homed in a corner of the Wohlen warehouse (at least, a heating system and provisional walls have been added). But the corner was getting, let's say, overcrowded. As a result, we evaluated various projects to extend the existing facilities (including floors on stilts and tent walls). In the end, we found a solution that serves the After Sales team as well as the logistics department.

Go West!

In November 2019, the team is moving into new offices in the neighbouring Dintikon, where our warehouse for large products is located. In addition to the much-needed extra space, this change allows us to take better account of the special processes involved in dangerous goods, courier pick-ups and international shipments by specialising in outgoing and incoming goods. This means we'll be able to offer our customers even more efficient After Sales services.
