A Tech Affair episode 169: Dark Mode, Pixel 8, "Loki", "Assassin's Creed Mirage"

Digitec switches off a light. We're talking about the new Dark Mode. We've already touched the Pixel 8. "Loki" continues to inspire in its second season and "Assassin's Creed Mirage" makes a successful relaunch.
It's finally here, dark mode for digitec.ch. We explain why you had to wait so long for it. The new smartphones and smartwatch from Google will be available soon. We've already tried out the Pixel 8 and Pixel Watch. Artificial intelligence plays a more important role than ever before. Netflix's plans to increase prices again while maintaining the same performance don't seem too clever.
So we'd rather watch the second season of "Loki" on Disney Plus. Luca has seen the first four episodes and is thrilled. The same goes for Wes Anderson's short film "The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar", which covers all the director's clichés: pastel colours? Check. Symmetrical shots? Check. Narrator? Check.
"Cocoon" doesn't fit into any mould. The game from the makers of "Limbo" and "Inside" is an unusual puzzle game that requires no text and is controlled using just an analogue stick and a button. More finger acrobatics are required in "Assassin's Creed Mirage". This goes back to its roots and is particularly popular with Luca.

Being the game and gadget geek that I am, working at digitec and Galaxus makes me feel like a kid in a candy shop – but it does take its toll on my wallet. I enjoy tinkering with my PC in Tim Taylor fashion and talking about games on my podcast http://www.onemorelevel.ch. To satisfy my need for speed, I get on my full suspension mountain bike and set out to find some nice trails. My thirst for culture is quenched by deep conversations over a couple of cold ones at the mostly frustrating games of FC Winterthur.
