Return policy

Fancy returning a product? You can now initiate returns directly from your customer account. You’ll find all the necessary information under 'Returns and warranty’. We have listed the requirements below. Products purchased from digitec Galaxus AG can be returned by mail or dropped off at one of our branches (1). Third-party products can only be returned by mail.

(1) Our stores only accept products that are available for store collection. Products that are too large or too heavy must be registered under Returns and warranty and returned by post.

1. Return period

You can check the applicable return period for a product under the «Returns and warranty» tab. For products you’ve already ordered, you can find all information on returns in your customer account under «Orders» or on the «Returns» page.

The return period for our device insurance is 30 days. See the General conditions of insurance (GCI) for more details.

Our return periods apply from the date of shipment or date of collection. When returning an item, the date of the postmark or the date on which it was personally returned applies.

1.1. 30-day right of return for all products purchased from digitec Galaxus

Subject to the below-listed limitations, all products purchased from digitec Galaxus AG may be returned within 30 calendar days.

1.2. 14-day right of return for all products purchased from third party suppliers

Subject to the below-listed limitations, all products purchased via our online shop from merchants or third-party suppliers may be returned within 14 calendar days. Orders from our resale platform are excluded from this.

2. No right of return

Unfortunately, we cannot accept the following returns:

  • Damaged items (apart from ones damaged in transit).
  • If the original packaging is not present.
  • Products that don’t include all accessories.
  • Electronic software licences (ESD). 
  • Foodstuff.
  • When buying or renting cars, electric cars, hybrid cars.
  • Unsealed products from the following product groups:
    • Consumables (toner, filters, ink cartridges, etc.).
    • Hygiene items (toothbrushes, razors, etc.).
    • Child car seats.
    • Software with a broken seal.
    • Books, DVDs.
    • Items used for food preparation or storage (blenders, pans, Tupperware, etc.).

3. Refund value

Provided that a product can be returned, the following refund regulations apply:

A full refund:

  • The item is in its unopened, undamaged original packaging.
  • Clothing and shoes: reimbursement of the purchase price, provided that the following conditions are met: no signs of use, labels on the garment and original packaging present.

Deduction depending on product condition (10% or minimum deduction of CHF 10.–):

  • The product has been opened or used (exceptions: see 2.)

  • Products with damaged packaging

4. Return shipping costs

The postage costs for the return of items are generally borne by the sender. digitec Galaxus AG will cover the cost in the following cases:  

  • The product is clothing or shoes.
  • Upon receipt of an item that was not ordered.
  • In case of incorrect information in the online store.
  • Upon receipt of an item that was not ordered.
  • You haven’t received the full product.
