Test Report

2 steam ironing stations in comparison test

Most textiles need to be ironed after every single wash cycle so that they can be worn out of the house (without embarrassing themselves); this includes blouses, shirts and the like. Even if ironing is largely considered a nuisance, the work involved can be done much more easily and quickly - with a modern steam ironing station. Such a station takes up more space than a classic steam iron. But because the steam compressor is built into the steam station, the hand part is much lighter. With a steam pressure of up to 7.5 bar, even unruly creases are quickly smoothed out. We tested two modern steam ironing stations, the new Braun CareStyle 7 Pro IS 7155 and the classic Philips PerfectCare Elite Silence GC 9642/60. In addition to a powerful steam output, both models offer a function that allows all (!) ironable textiles to be processed without having to sort the laundry according to fabric type beforehand. Find out which model stood out in this test.
