A good swivel chair adapts ergonomically to its user and promotes active sitting through a rocking function. In the test of 13 desk chairs for the home office, several models succeeded in this. However, several of the chairs costing 150 to 300 euros weakened in the endurance test, revealed safety deficiencies or failed the test for harmful substances. Important for owners of sensitive wooden floors: The castors of some chairs are so sharp-edged that they can leave scratches. It is better to use them only with a floor protection mat.
