Test Report

15 Steam irons and stations 12/2016

An ironing station with a separate pressure boiler produces almost four times as much steam as an average steam iron. This way, even stubborn creases disappear. Without a pressure boiler, it doesn't work quite as well. The best station costs 360 euros ? almost eight times as much as the cheapest good steam iron. In the test: seven steam irons and eight ironing stations (prices: 46 to 550 euros). Conclusion: In both categories there are good devices ? and poor ones.
