I have freezes all the time. The display stays on and simply shows the last current image (e.g. the desktop or what was just displayed), but I can't even switch the device off. Only pressing the power button for 10 seconds (until completely off) helps. Does anyone know this problem? Digitec support advises sending it in, but then I'll be without a PC for a long time. Anyone?
I had similar problems. Whenever the tablet wanted to go into sleep mode, the screen froze. But I found a good solution on a Microsoft forum.
Original quote from user aeternus:
"I've fixed it on my SP7 i5/8G/256G by installing the Intel Graphics Command Center from the Microsoft Store, opening it, going to System>Power>Panel Self Refresh and turning it off for both "On Battery" and "Plugged In".
So: download the Intel Graphics Command Center from the Microsoft App Store and install it. Then System->Power->Panel Self Refresh and turning it off for both tabs (On battery, plugged in). It worked for me. I haven't had any problems since.
Attention! Do not install the (beta) app. For some reason, they no longer have this option. So it may be that Intel will remove the Panel Self Refreshing in a future app version....
I hope this helps those affected.
The problem does not seem to be unknown, according to Google research some users complain about such freezes, I am also one of them.
Here is a guide on how to get rid of them:

I don't have your problem with my device. Maybe I would reset it before you send it in.
