Question about Scythe Kaze Q 3.5 inch fan controller - black

You connect the 4 fans you want to control here, ok, got it. there are cables on them. But the cable for the power connection is also included, or how? is that a cable that can be connected to the mobo? if so, it should be a 4-pin cable (not the one with the thick sticks), or? because otherwise it is attached to the power supply. I'm asking because I don't have a "conventional power supply unit that goes off via the PC's switch-off signal, but an external one from which I would have to take the power every time.
