Will this RAM expansion fit into an iMAC 21.5 Mid 2011 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5? According to Apple specs, only 4GB RAM expansions are possible (https://support.apple.com/de-de/HT201191).

Does the installation also work in an iMac Late 2009 (10.1) or do I have to change to 4 times 4GB? I have found different information about this on the internet and am a little unsure...

A 21.5 iMac can only be upgraded in an authorised shop. Apparently the modules are soldered, so opinions differ. Nevertheless, you have to go through the monitor to get to the modules. With a 27.5 iMac, the change is easily possible from the back.

I upgraded my iMac 27.5 Mid 2011 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5 with it. Works perfectly, although officially (according to Apple spec.) only max. 16 GB total are supported.

My MacBook Pro 17", early 2011 got these modules. Works without any problems.
