According to Netgear and the blurb received in the box it works with any wireless router, and I did quite a bit of online research before purchasing.
I had it working on a Salt fiber router as an extender, I then realised that because the WiFi signal from the Salt router was unreliable it was only broadcasting the same unreliable signal, I found a better use for it as a wireless access point instead, since then no problems at all, and the range is quite good as a wireless access point, with a strong signal all through a 115m2 apartment with the X6S sat centrally.
