Question about AsRock X399 Taichi
Will the motherboard come with the latest BIOS version that then supports the new Threadripper 2000?
You can also perform the BIOS update on this mainboard without a CPU.
the Asrock X399 Taichi purchased in January with a TR1950X did not come with the latest BIOS.
The Asrock specs say they support the TR2000 with socket TR4.
->> probably would have to test it to see which bios works best with the TR2k.
Note: it can't be too long until a high-end PC with the TR2k will be available on the CT.
Note 2: if you believe the article on page 48 in CT 18/2018, there are not many good reasons to go for the TR2k right away. It just depends on what you want to do with it....
