Why can't Digitec negotiate Swiss firmware with Xiaomi that locks the scooter at 20km/h, making it legal for Swiss roads?

Hej rgraeflin,

Probably because the Swiss market is simply too small for that. They can't even do it in Germany.

But as far as I know, Xiaomi is working on a new model for Europe and Switzerland. Unfortunately, I don't know when this scooter will be launched.

I went to the Zurich traffic police last week. They told me that as long as you're driving in eco-mode, i.e. 18km/h, it's OK. The police can't tell how fast you're going anyway. And in Zurich, the Bird devices are also on the road. With a car, you could also drive through a side street at 200 km/h, but you don't do it.
