Question about Varta Blue Dynamic B18

Smaller batteries like the B18 have a low acid content and should be permitted as dangerous goods. You can check this on the Post's website under the heading: permitted dangerous goods.

The package is clearly marked (large dangerous goods symbol). In addition, arrows on two sides show that it may only be transported and stored upright. The battery itself is very well packed, several layers of cardboard prevent it from slipping inside the box. This is already the second car battery I have ordered from Galaxus. Both were delivered by dpd Switzerland, presumably because this carrier is certified to ship dangerous goods.
