The container remains stable, but it's just 'placed' on top, not 'fixed' in the sense of the word. For example, I had a Philips one that you had to turn slightly clockwise to 'fix' it to the top. This one simply sits on top.

I can only agree with ferreira_ruben's answer. That's exactly how it is. The jar has a large dead weight, which is why no additional fixation is necessary. Have already made soups. No problem at all
