Which Raid levels does the card support? On the Broadcom homepage it says 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, and 60. In the data sheet there are three asterisks for Raid 6 and 60, and at the end of the document "***Not applicable to the 9440-8i adapter".

Yes, for some obscure reasons LSI MegaRAID 9440-8I doesn't support Raid 6 in hardware. My believe it is disabled because 9440-8i doesn't have connector for battery backup / supercapacitor (CacheVault) for keeping cache memory preserved on power failure. And it is important to have it due so called write hole issue. But the same applies to RAID5, so I am not sure why anymore. Still you can run RAID6 in software, which has a lot of benefits.
