Where can I find the exact model designation? I am looking for the addition to find out the compatibility with my SYN-NAS 213air. So WD40EFRX-68N32NO or ... -68WT0N0?

Hello
The compatibility is compatible with all basic designations. So WD40EFRX-XXXXX.

The digits at the back are intended for revisions or firmware versions. However, as soon as a basic model has been tested (WD40EFRX), compatibility is guaranteed.
I would only be careful with the 8TB models, as these have different holes at the bottom and not all devices can handle such large disks.

I recommend that you first connect the disks to your home computer and update the firmware to the latest version. Do the same with your Synology.

Kind regards
