When establishing a connection with the app, I keep getting an error message which causes the connection to be cancelled. Does anyone have a solution? Apparently many users are affected.
With the Samsung WW5000 (WW90CGC04AABWS), disconnections when establishing an app connection are a well-known and widespread problem, which is usually not caused by the device itself, but by the Wi-Fi configuration. The washing machine only supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi; activated 5 GHz Wi-Fi, WPA3 encryption, mesh systems or combined SSIDs often lead to errors. In many cases, it helps to temporarily deactivate 5 GHz, use WPA2, delete the device completely in the SmartThings app and set it up again. If the problem persists, this is known as a SmartThings compatibility problem and can often only be solved via Samsung support or a firmware update.
