Question about WD My Book

What is the hard drive inside? A WD red or WD blue? Is this HDD running at 5400rpm or 7200rpm? It is exfat formatted, so it is impossible to transfer files bigger than 4Gb, is this correct?

Helpful answer

The exFat theoretically allows file sizes of 16 Eio (2^64 bytes), not to be confused with the Fat32 which allows file sizes of up to 4go (2^32 bytes). So no worries about file size.

Normally it is a 5400rpm, and in my opinion not a WD red but rather a blue (which was used in the old ones)

Hello. I can't answer the questions about red or blue, nor the speed of rotation. I can't find this information anywhere. According to one site, this DD is no longer sold. See: https://www.comx-computers.co.za/WDBBGB0080.... For the file size limit, see this:
What is the theoretical limit to the size of an exFAT file?
It is interesting in that the theoretical limit of the size of an exFAT file can reach 16 Eio (exabytes) or 256 TB in practice. To validate this format, as before, give your external disk a label (name), the format exFAt and under the scheme Master Boot Record (MBR).
