What is the difference (advantages/disadvantages) between a software (CD) or when I buy it as a download? Download version 50% cheaper

If you were to buy the software as a "download", you would simply get a key, which you would get with the CD anyway. Whether you install the programme from the internet or from the CD, I think it depends on the same thing.
Is that what you meant?
