Question about Icy Box Ib-3810u3
What about the volume? Can you have something like this in your home, or rather only in a server room? Are there also emissions when not in use (all hard drives on standby)?
I had it in the office for testing purposes and my office mates complained.
It's not RZ server loud, but certainly above what you'd want in a living room.
I have a Ds918 sitting around at home that you can barely hear when you're really quiet.
Where is the noise coming from? From the fan or are the hard drives not decoupled? Which hard disks were used. I don't hear the helium-filled models (decoupled) from either a Dark Base 900 or a Meshify 2 XL.
