What about data protection? Will the data only be transferred from the tracker to the mobile phone or will the app force you to create an account in the cloud and transfer the data to the cloud?

If you have privacy concerns, this is not the right product for you. The whole thing only works with a Huawei account, the data is uploaded to the cloud. Since I don't care if Huawei knows how I slept and what my fitness and heart rate are, I bought it anyway. One of the best price/performance ratios on the market. It will probably be difficult to find a product that protects privacy 100%.
In the privacy settings of the app, you can switch on/off: Personal Info / Fitness Data / Health Data / Sync Device and App Usage Data to Cloud. So you don't have to.
You need to install the Huawei Healt app to sync the watch data.
