Question about TechniSat Digital radio 10 IR

We have a T&A R1230R system with W&B speakers, but no DAB+ function. Is the TechniSat 10IR the ideal device or the device which can be connected to our radio/receiver and which also works?

The Technisat 10 IR works excellently for me. It is connected to the aux port of the amplifier, but does not offer the same rich sound as my old, unfortunately defective receiver.
