Unfortunately, after about two years, the connection is now defective - I suspect. The plate disconnects every now and then and that makes working impossible.
However, the USB connection and controller were soldered on directly. Is there any way to still use the hard drive - e.g. in a PC? Or is it definitely electronic waste? I would be grateful for any tips.

Since the USB interface is directly soldered on and thus there is no "exposable" SATA interface, there is no sensible way to do anything with this disk.
My advice would be to back up the data as long as you can and replace it.
