Yes, no problem to put it on the table. This beamer also has an acceleration sensor, as is usual nowadays, because ceiling mounting is done using screws and a bracket on the lower side and the beamer must therefore automatically recognise the orientation, otherwise you would see everything upside down when ceiling mounting ;) (bracket not included, at least in my case).
