Question about Adobe Lightroom 6

Two months ago I bought a new Mac Book Pro (Catalina). Since then, my Lightroom programme no longer runs or cannot be opened, which was possible without any problems on the previous MacBook Pro (Sierra). I have an Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 6. What do I have to do?

Catalina unfortunately no longer supports 32 bit applications. The only options are to downgrade to Mac OS Mojave or to switch to Lightroom CC, which is unfortunately only available in a subscription licence model. I decided on the former for now, as the added value of Catalina is minimal. Unfortunately, the downgrade is a bit complicated, but there are countless instructions on the web.
