Catalina unfortunately no longer supports 32 bit applications. The only options are to downgrade to Mac OS Mojave or to switch to Lightroom CC, which is unfortunately only available in a subscription licence model. I decided on the former for now, as the added value of Catalina is minimal. Unfortunately, the downgrade is a bit complicated, but there are countless instructions on the web.
The thing is, we can only apply the age check to an entire category and not just to individual product groups. This means that either the whole software area has an age check or there is none at all. Unfortunately, it is not yet known when we will be able to adapt or change this. Temporarily, an age check must be made.
In principle yes, but please be careful: Adobe has just released a new Lightroom CC (normal and classic) and as far as I know (I also have 6) 6 will soon no longer be supported. Therefore, it is better to ask Adobe before buying. Otherwise the CHF10/month including Photoshop cannot be avoided....
When I installed LR6, LR5 remained available (Mac). The catalogue was taken over from LR5.
About the camera: it is listed in this list.

As far as I know, updates (programme maintenance) are included. Updates in the sense of additional functions/modules (i.e. what is not included in the scope of delivery of Lightroom) are, as far as I know, subject to a charge. I would ask Adobe directly to avoid surprises, as I am not 100% sure.
Hello Christine
It is true that LR6 can have problems with Catalina see also the article https://helpx.adobe.com/ch_de/lightroom-cc/kb/macos-catalina-compatibility.html#WelcheVersionenvonLightroomsindmitmacOSCatalinakompatibel
The only 100% remedy is probably to switch to LR CC/Classic with a subscription (approx. 11.50 CHF/month, incl. LR and Photoshop).
I have taken this step and do not regret it. However, I need LR almost daily, which puts the price into perspective.
Have fun with LR
When purchasing the Adobe Lightroom programme, this message appears on the purchase page:
You must first confirm your age in the customer account to order the following products:
- Adobe Lightroom 6 (EN, Mac OS X, Windows)
Why, I ask myself?
Apart from the fact that we are a company and have been ordering goods from Digitec for years, the product mentioned could also be purchased by young people under 18 and does not require any age-restricting measures.
Really incomprehensible......
Adobe's answer to this question is this:
If you are the primary user of an Adobe single-user or volume licensing product installed on a computer in the office, you may also use the software on a second computer on the same platform at home or on a laptop. However, you may not run the software on both computers at the same time.
Only one user may use a single-user Adobe Volume Licensing product.
I interpret that to mean that you are allowed to install it on both computers if you are the single user. But you are not allowed to use it at the same time. Here is the link: https://helpx.adobe.com/de/x-productkb/policy-pricing/end-user-license-agreements-faq.html
