Question about G.Skill Trident Z
This RAM module is not listed as compatible on either ASRock (x399 Fatality Professional Gaming Motherboard) or G SKILL. What makes these 2 not compatible? AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950x / AsRock x399 Professional Gaming Mainboard - currently RAM from Crucial https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/crucial-32gb-bausatz16gbx2-ddr4-2400-mtt-2x-16gb-ddr4-2400-dimm-288-ram-10089616. If the RAM modules are not listed, this does not mean that they are not compatible. Often they have simply not been tested.
Only the modules that have actually been tested are listed as compatible.
You can hardly expect motherboard manufacturers to test every RAM module that is available. Vice versa with RAM producers.
As long as the RAM modules correspond to the specifications of the mainboard, there should not be any problems.
With this mainboard, I would also recommend 4x8GB RAM, since the MB supports Quad Channel.
