This product mentions "CI slot" and then "Common Interface". If it really has an integrated Common Interface, does that mean I don't need anything else for satellite reception of Swiss programs using the SRF Smartcard? I want to be sure about this so that I don't have to return the device.

That is correct, a receiver and the card with the Viaccess module are required.
