This all reads very well as I want to replace my extremely slow laptop, however I read in the description that the clock speed is just 1GHZ. Isn't that extremely low? Can someone here enlighten me? I don't want to buy such a lame box again!
Hello, the laptop speed is often slowed down by a slow hard disk. Here, a fast SSD is built in. This laptop is completely sufficient for normal office applications. 1 GHz is the base frequency for normal, non-computing-intensive applications (power-saving). For demanding applications, the CPU is automatically clocked to 3.6 GHz Turbo (high power consumption, but plenty of performance). The i5-1035G1, for example, has 4% more performance than its predecessor i5-9300H with 2.4 GHz base frequency: https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare... Conclusion: The 1 GHz need not worry you. The laptop will certainly be fast enough for Office. The price-performance ratio is good.
