Question about JVC KW-M565DBT
The seller said that all cables are included with this DAB radio. Just install it - done. But now I hear from various sources that a CAN-BUS adapter is necessary for this device to work properly. I have also found one at Digitec: Article 18256910. Can anyone tell me if this is now mandatory? Many thanks in advance
Thank you very much for the answer. In the meantime, a professional gave me the same answer and I learned from him that I also need a metal installation kit and a phantom antenna adapter. Would have been nice if I had already learned this from the seller of the device. Now I have to wait a few days again for these parts before I can start the installation.
Depends on your FC. The device has many connections according to the manual. If your vehicle only provides ignition plus via CAN-BUS, for example, you can save yourself tinkering with the adapter (on my vehicle, for example, I took ignition plus from the cigarette lighter). The device itself does not communicate via the bus.
