The laptop is relatively noisy and even when switched off, the cooling still runs in small intervals and thus burns the battery even when switched off. Is this normal or should I replace it? p.s. I have already reset it once and installed all updates. The only result was that the camera was not recognised...
Good evening Mr Jürgenson,
I've only had the notebook for a few days, but I've never been able to hear the fan when it's switched off. When the fan revs up, it is a bit louder than on other notebooks, but I don't find it annoying because it doesn't run at high speed all the time.
There is another setting in the bios called "System Performance Mode" where the fan mode and performance can be set. The default is "Intelligent Cooling", which I think is optimal. The modes can also be changed directly in Windows with the Lenovo Vantage Tool. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us...
