The Emporia Simplicity Glam is supposed to be 4G/LTE-capable, but Swisscom is now demanding a software update (allegedly outdated firmware), which is not available or cannot be installed (message: current version already available/installed). The mobile was purchased 1 year ago with system software "current version: V227i_4G_nSW_V1.01/release date 20231109". It can't be that this mobile already needs to be replaced! I'm also wondering what software the same model currently being sold has installed and whether an update (which may not be available) is also required for this model. Does anyone have the same problem and/or can they help? Digitec customer service should possibly look into this topic. Thank you very much!

... Yes, this device is 4G/LTE compatible and has also been tested and approved by Swisscom...
This SMS message arises because your network provider can only register/check Android and IOS devices (presumably 95% of devices) in the network, other devices such as keypad devices with other operating systems are not recognised correctly and an SMS is sent.

Well, for me this means wait and see (and hope 😉)...

Works tiptop without having to make updates.
