The description says the case fits the classic iPad 9.7 from 2017 and the iPad Air 2 from 2014, but the classic iPad is thicker at 7.5mm instead of 6.1mm. Can this be correct? Does this case really fit the classic iPad?

I ordered this case because I was explicitly looking for an iPad AIR. The selection of cases for the Air series is much smaller than for "normal" iPads (different dimensions). The Targus case fits my model perfectly.

I therefore think that in your case it would be worth looking for an alternative case that fits your iPad model exactly. I wish you good luck.
