Question about WD Black
The description says "Longer warranty period: Every WD_BLACK drive is backed by an industry-leading 5-year warranty". (This is another reason why WD Black drives are inherently a bit more expensive than others). Yet you only offer a 2 year warranty, and sell a warranty extension to 5 years for over CHF 34 ??! Well, what then...? Do you want to sell a superfluous warranty extension to inattentive customers? I think that's a bit cheeky...
Since Jan. 2022 digitec has finally corrected the warranty (from 2) to 5 years !
As a dealer, we provide a two-year warranty on this hard drive. For the remaining three years, a warranty claim must be registered with the manufacturer, WD. If you or another customer would like us to handle the warranty claim after the two years, a warranty extension is necessary. Otherwise, you are welcome to contact WD in the three years following the expiry of our two-year warranty.
