Question about Tefal Pro Express Ultimate II steam ironing station (GV9720)
The alarm from the anti-limescale device goes off very very often even though our water is quite soft. Would replacement of the removable anti-limescale collector be helpful? What is the principle of this device (conductivity?)

I don’t have that problem. But I empty the liquid that accumulates at the bottom part of the ironing station after each use. Try that and see is the alarm still goes off.
I no longer have this appliance, but I do have another Tefal model (Pro Express Ultimate Care) that I bought from Fust.
I can tell you the following: My new Tefal was defective after only 15 days. The reason for this was the tap water. Because where I live, there is a salt system in the block. This water is not suitable for any ironing system!
I was advised to use distilled water from Fust https://www.fust.ch/haushalt...). Since then, I've never had any problems, not even with the anti-limescale collector. I have only had to clean it once since September 2025.
The tank only needs to be emptied completely once a month.
