The Acer CM-02S projector mount says "ceiling distance up to 64 cm". Can the distance simply be shortened or do I have to cut or saw the tube to the desired length?

Helpful answer

The whole thing is divided into 3 parts with tubes that are screwed together. The shortest is 11cm from the ceiling including the bracket, then a longer tube approx. 18cm, and another tube approx. 35cm.
