Thanks for the answer. Do I understand correctly that the thread is to be found on the projector housing itself (as with the EF-21)? What happens to the built-in stand/base when the projector is mounted on the tripod?

the thread has the pitch of any photo or video camera. You can mount the projector on any normal tripod. It weighs a little so if possible solid. Excellent device.
