Question about Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro Light Enhancement Kit

So if I have understood correctly, I can plug these modules onto my existing RAM (Corsair Vengeance LPX) and thus have RGB RAM? Or do I have to plug the modules into a slot that is empty? Thanks
