Screens for Surface Book, Intel Core i7 I am currently supposed to be working at home (CAD/GIS) and am now looking for screens that I can connect to my Surface. have now spent 3 evenings ploughing through the net, but still don't know what the most useful (2) screen(s) should be? Can anyone give me a recommendation? Thanks a lot

Good day
I have been on Curved screens for about a year. I have had consistently good experiences with these screens.
In shop:
Dell UltraSharp U3818DW (38", 3840 x 1600 Pixels)
At home (I pulled on the PC):
Samsung LC34J791 (34", 3440 x 1440 Pixels)

With a curved screen, you don't have to worry about having two screens. One is completely sufficient. However, you should make sure that you have a screen diagonal of at least 32 inches - better 34. A Displayport cable was included with both screens.
What is also very important is the radius of curvature! This should be at least 1800R - I have found that the smaller the number, the better it is to work with these large screens. That's why I prefer the Samsung at home to the work device in the shop.

What should also be considered:
- Space -> the screen needs more space in the depth.
- Working -> select the appropriate window, hold down the Windows key and press the arrow keys -> this allows you to work with two or more programmes side by side at the same time.

PS: I paid about CHF 650 for the Samsung (with about 15% discount).

Greetings from my home office

I have connected my MS Book to a 27" EIZO. The monitor can be switched off and is immediately recognised by the computer (Win 10). - I use it for post-processing photos (Photoshop, Affinity Photo) and creating photo books.
Advantages: Very high contrast, high resolution, flicker-free (60 Hz), can be calibrated, narrow border (EV series), can also be used vertically, up to 4 monitors can be connected (search term "daisy chain").
Disadvantage (negligible): Small control buttons, somewhat fiddly. Is improved with the new models (my wife has a 24-inch EV 2457, 53x34 cm2; main use: Films) improved.

Recommendation: I would buy the BS again at any time. When combining several monitors, choose those with narrow edges and daisy chain compatible.

Note: Don't forget the cable. I use Roline Mini-Displayport - Displayport (to the Book). Connect several (up to 4) monitors with (3) Displayport cables in series. Windows should be able to cope with this.

Good luck - and stay healthy!
