Tylt Y-Charge Dual USB Car Charger
Saw that 4.2 A charging current is supplied. There are also those with 2.1 A. Does that matter for charging my iPhone? Too much/too little?
With this car charger, the power of 4.2A is distributed between the two USB ports, so each of the two USB ports has a maximum of 2.1A and a total of 4.2A. This is not too much or too little, chargers have either 1A or 2.1A, which affects the charging time. With 2.1A, the device is merely charged faster than with 1A, as long as the mobile phone supports this. For an iPhone, this is completely sufficient.
Hello, I could almost bet that the 4.2A charging current should represent the total power, i.e. 2x 2.1A. You won't be able to buy a charging station with 4.2A charging power for so little money. On top of that, very few car brands I know of have high charging currents on their 12V connector. Most have 500mA to 1500mA, so this charger won't output higher currents via USB either, with 2 devices connected = charging current :2
