Same problem as you, after contacting the brand, they replaced the whole base, free of charge, even though I didn't have the receipt of purchase anymore! I hope that you have been treated the same way as me, best regards.

I've been using it for 1.5 years and I'm 160 kilos. The middle bar is 2.5 cm above the floor. I don't know if it used to be higher, but at 2.5 cm there is still enough play down and since I have been using it for so long, I don't think it will slide down any further for me. I can't remember how I assembled it. Did you forget something before you put the centre bar in the cross? Or do you have the habit of taking a running jump from a height onto the chair? In any case, I am happy with my chair.
