Question about Samsung QE75QN95A

Contrary to custom, I am a manual reader. But this Samsung manual is a masterstroke beyond compare. The more expensive the products, the less there is in the manual... There isn't even an overview of the connections.

Anyway, on p. 20 it strangely says "Digital audio is only available with 5.1 channel broadcasts". Which would explain why their digital-to-analogue converter doesn't work. Because these digital-analogue converters can only handle stereo signals. They cannot handle 5.1 or multichannel audio. For downmix, a sound processor would be needed.

-> Despite this strange statement in the manual, it should be possible to switch to stereo (PCM) in the audio settings in the TV menu. If this is not possible, you need a digital receiver.
