On the manufacturer's website, this PSU is marketed with a 10-year warranty and on digitec only with 3 years. Is this a mistake, or does the manufacturer's warranty period not apply to digitec's?

Exactly. Digitec, as a Swiss dealer, grants you 3 years directly from them (according to Swiss law or because digitec handles it that way). Seasonic grants you 10 years, but then you have to contact the manufacturer, preferably with the corresponding proof of purchase.
