Now is this product suitable for a Synology DS218j or is there something else I could use better? I plan to use the NAS with 2x 4TB raid. Thanks a lot

So, on the one hand, these are just high-quality 24/7 disks, on the other hand, a 2 * X TB system is no problem - I think only from 8 disks it becomes questionable.

According to the manufacturer, these disks are specified for a NAS with a maximum of 8 bays. For more than 8 bays, the WD Red Pro series should be chosen.

Yes, you are choosing the correct disks for a NAS. Ssd could otherwise be chosen as an alternative. However, this is more expensive.
