No matter what settings I changed considering all the options reported by other users, **Sleep** on this marvel of a machine unfortunately does not work. Anybody else having the same issue? If I put the Laptop to Sleep, Keyboard is showing this "proper" "I'm in Sleep" animation, colors changing from left to right, then WASD blinking red, starting over. But when I resume working by pressing any key, the Screen shows the login page as expected, but if I enter PIN to unlock, I get logged in, **meaning the previous session got logged out, and sleep is not supposed to logout, not matter the settings, AFAIK!** Any hint as to where to look for answers appreciated. The workaround I'm using is Hibernate now, but oh boy all the fancy improvements for super-fast Sleep mode - gone.

That seems a hard one. I saw your inquiry ad reddit. It seems there is no setting in Windows to influence a log-out-on-sleep behaviour. My best guess is that the problem is caused by Asus' own software or faulty Windows installation.

You can try the following:
- create another user account and see if the problem persists
- do a BIOS update
- set default settings in BIOS and check if there is sleep-setings (try enable/disable)
- disable "hybrid sleep" in your power plan (old-style control panel)
- open command prompt (admin) and try "sfc /scannow" if it finds any error
- uninstall all of Asus software and utilities (always reboot, if it ask you to do so!)
- restore Windows to default through recovery partition of notebook
- install Windows with clean MS-install-media, not Asus-image
- instead you can also try first to re-install Windows as update (keep progs and data), mostly this should correct any errors
- contact Asus support
