New hard disk=which one? Hello, my pc told me that I should change the hard disk. I have a Toshiba DT01ACA100 3.5 1T-7200rpm I want a 2 to 3T hard disk what should I take/better what is compatible? Greetings Werner

Hi Werner,

Basically, you are quite free here, as most HDDs have similar form factors (3.5" in your case). I don't know exactly what you need, but if you do a lot of high-performance work, you might want to consider an SSD (faster, not mechanical, therefore not as prone to errors).
But if it's used for surfing now and then, then you'll also run quite well with an HDD. In general, the Seagate BarraCude is recommended by many, as the price-performance ratio is simply very good. WD Blue would also be a possibility, but it is a little more expensive. I would advise against Toshiba itself, as the performance is not very good. So here is my recommendation:
