My wine cabinet was humming extremely loudly. I had it repaired under warranty. Apparently the fan was defective. Now, 7 months later, the same problem again. Extremely annoying, as I now have to lug the monster part back to Aargau. I wonder if there are no higher quality fans on the market or if they really only use junk parts so that you have to replace the thing at short notice.
By way of comparison, my freezer has been running for 15 years without any problems. If that happens again, I'll have to dispose of the wine cabinet, which would be a shame.

Well, I have the same wine cabinet and I can confirm that it hums a bit. Whether this is "extreme" or above the expected noise level I cannot judge.
Have to admit I'm glad the unit is in our basement so I don't mind the hum.
But I understand that it can be annoying.

I know this doesn't help you but I can confirm that the appliance is louder than the fridge and freezer next to it.
